Dr. Tasia Lazaros, B.Sc.(H), D.C.
“Miracles happen everyday!
My intuition guided me to pursue a career and life in chiropractic care. I am very thankful and blessed to be a part of this amazing profession and to share in my patients’ “miracles” in their life. I welcome everyone to try and add chiropractic to their families’ lifestyle.”
Dr. Tasia Lazaros, born and raised in the Halifax, always had a passion for the healing profession. As a teen, she volunteered her time at the local hospitals such as Camp Hill, VG, Veterans and IWK hospitals. She graduated from high school with high honors and went on to complete a Bachelor of Science Honors Biochemistry degree from Bishop’s University in 1995. While there she was involved in many extracurricular activities, clubs, sports, research and teaching which made her a great candidate for a career in chiropractic. In 2000, she graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where she learned about the importance of chiropractic care for the overall well-being of the nervous system and body. Before graduating, she thought chiropractic was only for lower back pain which is not the case at all. With chiropractic care, she realized it can increase movement and balance the spine & nervous system – for all ages!
In her spare time, she learned many different styles of chiropractic technique and started implementing a positive thinking and wellness approach to life which she now shares with her patients. She believes the mind, body and spirit have to be in balance for optimal health! Dr. Lazaros aims at helping patients that come in with a problem and to help educate them on preventative care. She loves working with pregnant women and children and she focuses her continued education courses and studies on care for them.
She is certified with The Webster Technique which optimizes the pelvic alignment of a pregant woman and helps the intrauterine space which has been a huge help to many babies. She also strives and adopts a style of chiropractic that involves minimal twisting that helps her and her patients. She is a certified Thompson Technique chiropractor and uses the Activator-style adjusting tool as well – which her patients’ absolutely love. She also does work on balancing the alignment of the ankles and feet and is trained to do orthotics for her patients. Advice on supplementation, stretches and ergonomics are among just a few of the things Dr. Lazaros discusses with her patients.
She is excited to be currently studying to obtain her Diplomate in pediatric care though the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
While not at the clinic – Dr. Lazaros loves cooking and spending time with her family members. She loves to enjoy the beauty of Nova Scotia especially the breathtaking and refreshing ocean beaches! She welcomes everyone to her clinic from all over the world and thanks everyone for referring always their friends, family, and co-workers to the clinic.
